My crafts!

So I've been doing some crafts and I thought I would post some of them! These are some blocks I made...where I am going to put all of them, don't ask! I'll exchange them every now and then, I guess!

I decided to make some bows and flowers and in the process I found a picture of a necklace I thought might be fun to try! I made a clack and white one... Ri isn't too fond of them, but I think they are cute! :)

Flowers, flowers, flowers! I made a few for scrap-booking and cards. I decided to try some with fabric as well, and this is what I got! (These are only some of them.)

Birthday fun and more, more, more!

So my birthday was ten days ago, and the fact that I am finally writing about it now is pretty darn good for me! 24... that is a good age! First, I want to say that my birthday was simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Why, you ask? Let me tell you!
1. Riley woke up early with Macy and I got to snooze some more.
2. I got breakfast in bed... of course I had to share it with Macy, who ate just about as much as I did!
3. I went downstairs to find that Ri and Macy had made a trip to Home Depot and bought some "special" wood to make me a spice cabinet that I've been wanting!
4. Riley also fixed Macy's kitchen :).
5. I got an amazing lunch.
6. Kyla volunteered to watch Macy that night so I could go out with my hott date! We went to dinner and a movie, which is a VERY special treat these days. I was especially happy to order a yummy dessert.
7. My REAL birthday gift... a coupon book from Ri filled with wonderful things like back rubs, garbage runs, free meals, cleaning, good stuff like that!
8. I was surprised to find a gift from my mom in the mail... even though when I called her to thank her she didn't realized that day was my birthday. Love her :)
9. A phone call all the way from Italy from Ri's parents.
10. Another phone call from Grandma and Grandpa Steelman... and the rest of my family :)
11. My surprise B-day party all the way in Utah... ok so it was for LaCol, but they SAY it was for me too. Thanks fam!
12. My gift to myself: a hair straightener and some vinyl.

Could I have asked for a better day?

I just want to say quickly that Macy is growing like a weed. She eats so much food I can hardly keep up with her. The other night we went out to eat with some friends at Outback Steakhouse and she put down nine pieces of bread. (Not to mention veggies, goldfish, and all those treats.) Daughter like Daddy!

Blessings

She's a climber! Talk about a heart-stopping moment to turn around and see this!

Today my heart is fragile. My heart goes out to the Wilkinson family, who lost their 20 month old boy just days ago. LaCol told me the news about her little nephew Bennett, passing away in the middle of the night, with no warning. I can't comprehend how that would feel as a mother. Just thinking of it makes me tear up. Last night as I put Macy down for bed, I asked for a hug. She gave me the dearest, sweet hug I have ever had. I kissed her cute little nose, forehead, cheeks, and little belly as she giggled. Soon she was kicking her legs frantically, laughing as she kicked me in the stomach, over and over again. Silly girl. I love her. She is such a precious little angel and I will be forever thankful. Today I have a desire to become a better person, never taking my blessings in life for granted, for there are MANY! There aren't many more people in this life as blessed as I am!! I have a lot to live up to. I'm so grateful for my wonderful, hard-working husband. He treats me so well! I am thankful for my new friends I have made here in Cleveland! They keep my going and inspire me to become a better person!I am excited for this day and can't wait to make the best of it!

The Holidays!

We went to Utah this Christmas and stayed close to a month! As much as I love it there, it is so nice to be back. I didn't realize how wonderful it is to have a "routine"! I'll sum everything up as quick as I can! It was a busy month... we got to see Skyler home from Africa (he is such a sweetheart), Tom and Sarah got married, we were able to make it to Sarah's endowment session, both of Riley's grandparents were out, and of course, the usual in Duchesne. We spent about 90% of the time in Heber. (Which was great since we had our own room and space.) One of these days I am going to force Riley to stay in Duchesne the majority of the time so he can learn to LOVE it! Lol.

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun. Riley brought a snowmobile out to Duchesne and we went sledding with the family! That night we played some Minute to Win it games. Grandpa and Grandma Moat came over for dinner and Grandpa Grant stayed for the games, which was nice! Afterward we drove to Heber so we could be there for Christmas morning. We got all kinds of fun things... Macy LOVES her new stroller and doll. Riley got a new playstation 3 this year and money (which he put toward a new tv.) He did a lot of car shopping for his mom and got to go skiing! I got some new running shoes, a cricut, and some money as well! We even managed to fit some racquetball into our schedule! I miss racquetball so much! It was a blast.

Macy was exploring the house every second she could. We would turn around for a second and she was gone! Once we found her eating some cat food, which I think she likes better than real food. (Speaking of cats, she LOVES them. She can now say, "Kitty cat," and meow. She barks like a dog too.) Another time we found her and Elsie in the pantry. Elsie was rubbing her hands together and all over her clothes... found out it was shortening she was into. She rubbed it all over Macy's hair and clothes. Macy also learned how to feed herself cereal with a spoon, thanks to Grandma Steelman!

Riley, Lindsey and the kids, and I went to watch "Annie" in midway. It was a play put on with a really nice dinner. That was probably the highlight of the trip! It was amazing! The singing was incredible and the food was delicious!
Oh, and I almost forgot... Sara and Paul found out they are having another baby! Yay! Tai and Heather are also about half way through their pregnancies. I love love love being an aunt!

To top our Christmas vacation off we flew home on New Years Eve. It was miserable, to say the least. We left the house around 9 AM and didn't get home till midnight. We THOUGHT we were flying to Chicago, then to Cleveland. When we got on the plane we waited for an hour waiting to take off and they decided to switch pilots. A random passenger in a sweatshirt and jeans ended up flying the plane... really strange...to New Mexico, where we switched planes! We flew to Chicago, but didn't land, of course! Instead, we flew around the airport for 30 minutes waiting to land and we almost ran out of gas, so they had to fly to Indianapolis to fill up with gas. From there it took another 45 minutes to take off and FINALLY we landed in Chicago. We eventually made it to Cleveland. It only took one screaming baby the entire way and a few extra stops with a passenger flying the plane to do it. SIGH! We are home! We are excited to start the new year! We welcome 2011 and hope to make it the best year! :)
